Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is a non-ionic, water-soluble cellulose ether, appearing as a white, free-flowing powder that dissolves in both cold and hot water. The product exhibits excellent resistance to acids and alkalis, as well as to electrolytes, providing stable thickening while also offering water retention, suspension, and anti-sagging properties; its aqueous solutions are clear and transparent. It is widely used in interior and exterior latex paints, construction adhesives, gypsum putties, personal care and household cleaning products, oilfield drilling muds, and other industries. HEC boasts superior dispersibility, resists caking, and ensures stable storage. Packaged in sealed 25 kg kraft paper bags, it should be stored in a cool, dry place.
